Hyperhidrosis?

It took me ( embarassingly) long years as a lecturer to learn not to harshly judge student mistakes and give gentle positive affirmations for effort.

Thank you for this- I too am a hyper vigilant from trauma and ND

And relate to all the hypers

I worked so hard on the trauma - CPTSD and then realizing it was still there that buzz

When I realized I was ND

It helped me to accept this who I am and therefore just less anxiety around it all

And not to sound like an Ass but being a woman and also being in the US right now

Hyperviligance is helpful

And if we go full authoritarian

It will continue to be

Ugh

Thank you for reading and commenting, Lucy. Wonderful to hear from you. Self-understanding and self-acceptance go a long way in making our "hyper" life more navigable. So glad you're experiencing less anxiety. And yes, great point! Hypervigilance is helpful when the threat is real. As an Australian, I look at the state of the US with great trepidation. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like living there.

So interesting! Your list of "hyper" hit me like a blast... Yes! All of that, and so much shame when I was younger to feel these "too much", wondering why I was not "normal"...

Thank you for reading and commenting! Oof yes that feeling of shame for being “too much”… I can relate! So glad the “hyper” list hit home. It’s a lot to navigate but you’re not alone🌟

Love the multifaceted planed explanation on this. An engine that can be cooled is a better management approach

We are so woefully unaware of the marks left by language. We are often so careless with what we say without understanding the lasting impacts, however small or subtle the utterance is.

Thank you for highlighting this. Language has such an impact on our nervous system. Whether it’s what we hear from others, what we read from others, how we speak to ourselves. We’ve lost the kindness and softness to our words, this is an important reminder to choose words carefully
